SatNav Driving Test

In your driving examination, the examiner will select a particular route on the sat-nav device. You’ll be expected to use the route selected by the examiner as well as the instructions from the Sat-nav device. The model and make of the device won’t make a difference, this is because our test routes work with a lot of devices. You cannot use your personal SatNav in the driving test. For more info, you can find recent changes to the driving test here.

Practise

We aim to supply customers with a lot of help and support with our routes. You will quickly become skilled at the different routes we provided. However, we definitely recommend using a person who is a skilled teacher.

Independent Driving Test

When you go off the independent driving route, it’s not going to have any effect on your examination results unless you do some other driving mistake, break a traffic regulation or make a traffic offence. In the case where you make an incorrect turn, the test examiner will assist you return to the correct route. In case of obscure or poor traffic signs, the test examiner will instruct the learner until they get to the following clear road sign. The examinee does not have to have a detailed understanding of the town. You cannot use your own Sat-nav device for independent driving, as it gives the learner very detailed instructions. The independent driving section will test if you can effect safe independent decisions.
