- At the Toneway roundabout, turn right.
- At the Obridge Viaduct roundabout, turn left.
- On Priorswood Road, continue ahead at the traffic lights.
- At the St Andrews Road / Greenway Road mini roundabout, turn left.
- On Staplegrove Road, take the second right.
- On Bindon Road, take the second left.
- Turn into Cook Way and return to the Driving Test Centre.

Sat Nav Driving Test
Whilst undertaking the independent driving test, the examiner will request the student to follow directions from the SatNav device. The examiner will bring a configured Tom-Tom Start 52 device. All you will need to do is to take instructions from the device. The model or make of the Satnav that you will use in your practise sessions won’t matter at all. As a leading SatNav company, we supply test-routes for Android, Tomtom, Garmin and iPhone devices.You cannot use your own sat-nav during the driving test.

Independent Driving Test
The Independent driving test does not test your ability to follow directions. Moreover, an independent driving test doesn’t check your skill in remembering instructions. If you need to ask the examiner for the directions, he/she will confirm them for you. Veering off route will not affect your examination score in any way. Do not worry about unclear road signs as the examiner will help you should you require it. Please understand that you cannot bring your own SatNav with you to take the examination. This is because your own Sat-Nav will be setup to provide step by step directions.
Taunton Test Centre Details
Taunton test centre is located at Unit L2, Acres Hill Business Park, Off Venture Way, Taunton Somerset TA2 8RX. There should be ramp access for wheelchair users but it would be best to call to make sure. There are also usually female, male and disabled toilets available at the test centre but it's probably better to go before you travel there! It’s occasionally feasible to park at the test centre. If this is not possible, it ought to be easy to park nearby and get there by foot. Practise roundabouts, difficult junctions, one-way streets and busy roads. Using test routes whilst learning to drive is always very useful, allowing you to learn on roads that you’ll actually be going on during your examination.

Test Centre Parking: Parking could be available at the test centre. If it’s not, park close by and walk there.
Toilets: There are quite often disabled, male and female facilities at the test centre but better to use these at home before.
Test Centre Disabled access: You should be able to get into the test centre in a wheelchair but telephone ahead to make sure.
