  7. On Crab Lane, turn right at the end of the road.

  9. Continue ahead at the second M6 Feeder roundabout.
  10. On Beaconside, continue ahead at the traffic lights, then turn left at the roundabout.
  11. On Weston Road, turn right.

Learn Stafford Test Routes


Whilst conducting the independent driving test, the examiner will request the learner driver to take instructions from the satnav. The examiner will provide a pre-configured Tomtom Start 52 device. All you will need to do is to follow instructions from the sat-Nav. The model or make of the Sat Nav that you will use during your practise sessions will not matter at all. The Independent driving test doesn’t test your ability to follow instructions. In addition, an independent driving test doesn’t check your skill in remembering directions. If you query the examiner for the directions, they should confirm them for you. Veering off route will not affect your examination results at all. Do not fret about obscured road signs as the examiner will help you should you need it. You should understand that you cannot take your own Sat-nav with you for the test. This is because your own Satnav will be configured to provide step-by-step directions.


Stafford Test Centre Details


The Stafford test centre is located at Unit 7 Greyfriars Business Park, Frank Foley Way, Stafford Staffordshire ST16 2RF. There should be ramp access for wheelchair users but we suggest calling to confirm. There are also quite often disabled, female and male toilets for use at the test centre but it's probably better to go before you head there! It is occasionally possible to park at the test centre. If not, it ought to be easy to park nearby and walk. Practise roundabouts, one-way streets, difficult junctions and busy roads. Navigating test routes while practising to drive is always very helpful, allowing you to learn on routes that you’ll certainly be going on during your examination.
