Learn St Albans Test Routes

Sat nav Driving Test
The test examiner will require the student to take directions from a setup SatNav on their own. The Satnav will show the route that the learner needs to follow. The model or make of Sat-Nav utilised during the examination will not really make a difference as the test-route will be the same. In the situation where the learner driver tries the wrong route, the examiner will advise accordingly. However, we very much recommend the Tom Tom Start 52 mainly as it’s what examiners tend to use whilst conducting driving tests.
Practise
Route-led provides customers with a large amount of help and support to utilise our test routes. You will get used to all the different sections of the routes to be travelled during the test. We recommend using a knowledgeable driving instructor in addition. For more information on what you can do to pass your driving test visit Driving Test Practice
Independent Driving Test
During the independent driving test, the examiner will give the student all the necessary directions. If the student gets lost along the way, they will be required to get confirmation on the instructions from the examiner. Learners cannot utilise personal Sat nav devices for independent driving because they give turn by turn prompts. Independent driving will test the ability of the examinee to undertake independent choices.
