Using RL’s Android driving test-routes is quite simple as long as you have RL’s app or a supported 3rd party application loaded on your Android device. Rugby test-routes for Android devices can be purchased from Route-Led's website. After downloading the test route, the customer can then either use RL’s dedicated app or install a supported Android app to use a particular file.
Following December 4 2017, the UK driving test also requires being able to follow Satnav directions. As the leading supplier of Sat-nav test routes in the UK, we supply a lot of routes for Garmin and TomTom devices. For those that wish to download satnav devices, we definitely recommend the Tomtom Start 52, pretty much as it’s the top choice for the Rugby driving test examiners.
Route-led test routes are available for a number of devices including your iPhone. To use our test routes, start by first downloading a preferred 3rd party software app that you can utilise to access the file. As soon as the app has loaded correctly, download the Rugby test route and install on the iPhone device from our webpages. You are able to then use the driving test route downloaded using the preferred software application. Rugby test centre.

SatNav Driving Test
While undertaking the independent driving test, the examiner will request the learner driver to take directions from the Sat Nav. The examiner will provide a pre-configured Tomtom Start 52 device. All you’ll have to do is to take instructions from the Satnav. The model or make of the Satnav that you will use during your learning sessions will not make a difference one bit. As a leading Sat nav company, we provide driving test-routes for Android, Garmin, Tomtom and iPhone devices. You can’t utilise your personal Satnav device in the driving examination.
Practice
Route-Led provides customers with a high degree of support and help to utilise our test-routes. You will get used to all the different sections of the routes to be travelled during the test. We suggest using a knowledgeable driving teacher as well. For more information on how you can practise for your driving test please go to Driving Test Practice
Independent Driving Test
If you go off the independent driving route, it won’t have any effect on your examination results except if you make a traffic offence, break a traffic regulation or do some other driving mistake. If you make a wrong turn, the test examiner will help you return to the correct route. Where you have poor or obscure traffic signs, the test examiner will direct the learner until they arrive at the following visible road sign. The examinee doesn’t have to have a good knowledge of the town. You cannot use your own Sat-nav device for independent driving, as it gives the student turn by turn instructions. The independent driving section is designed to test if you are able to effect safe independent decisions.
