  28. On Fengate, take the first left.
  29. On Second Drove, turn left and return to the Driving Test Centre.

Sat-Nav Driving Test


During your driving test, the examiner will choose a preferred route on the satNav. You will be requested to follow the route chosen by the examiner as well as the instructions from the sat-Nav device. The model and make of the device won’t matter, mainly because Route-LED's test-routes work with many different devices.You cannot utilise your personal SatNav device during the driving test. Practice

Independent Driving Test


When you go off the independent driving route, it’s not going to have any effect on your examination score unless you do an additional driving fault, break a traffic regulation or make a traffic offence. If you do an incorrect route choice, the examiner will assist you to return to the correct route. Where you have poor or obscure road signs, the examiner will instruct the examinee until they arrive at the next visible road sign. The learner doesn’t have to have a good knowledge of the area. You can’t use your personal Sat nav for independent driving, as it gives the learner turn by turn prompts. The independent driving part is designed to test if you are able to make secure independent choices.


Peterborough Test Centre Details


Peterborough test centre is located at Second Drove, Fengate, Peterborough Cambridgeshire PE1 5XA. There should be ramp access for disabled users but it would be best to call to make sure. There are also quite often disabled, female and male toilets available at the test centre but it's generally better to go before you head there! It’s occasionally feasible to park at the test centre. If not, it should be fine to park close by and walk. Practise busy roads, one-way streets, roundabouts and difficult junctions. Using test routes while learning to drive is always very useful, as it allows you to practice on roads that you will actually be going on during your test.

Toilets: There are quite often female, disabled and male toilets at the test centre but better to use these at your house before.
