Learn Lichfield Test Routes

The test examiner will require the student to take directions from a setup Satnav independently. The SatNav will include the route that the learner needs to track. The make or model of SatNav device used while the exam is going on will not really matter mainly because the test-route will be identical. In the situation where the learner driver tries a different road, the examiner will advise accordingly. However, we very much recommend the Tomtom Start 52 mainly because it is the device examiners tend to utilise while examining driving tests.

We like to supply customers with a great deal of support and help with Route-led's products. You will quickly get good at the different routes provided. However, we definitely recommend using a person who is a skilled instructor.

The Independent driving test does not check your ability to follow directions. Moreover, an independent driving test does not check your ability to remember instructions. If you need to ask the examiner for the directions, they should confirm them for you. Going off route won’t affect your test score in any way. Don’t fret about obscured road signs as the examiner will help you should you need it. Please note that you cannot bring your own satnav device with you to take the test. This is due to the fact that your own SatNav device will be setup to provide step by step instructions.

Lichfield Test Centre Info

Lichfield test centre can be found at Lower Sanford Street, Lichfield West Midlands WS13 6RB. There ought to be ramp access for disabled users but we suggest calling to confirm. There are also quite often male, disabled and female facilities for use at the test centre but it's probably best to go before you travel there! It is sometimes feasible to park at the test centre. If not, it should be easy to park close by and walk. Practise difficult junctions, busy roads, one-way streets and roundabouts. Navigating test-routes whilst practising to drive is always very useful, as it allows you to learn on routes that you’ll certainly be driving during your examination.
