Independent Driving Test

While undertaking the independent driving test, the examiner will request the learner driver to follow instructions from the Sat Nav. The examiner will provide a pre-configured tomTom Start 52 device. All you will have to do is to follow directions from the Sat-Nav. The make or model of the SatNav that you’ll use in your practise sessions will not matter at all. As a top tier Sat-Nav company, we supply test-routes for Garmin, Tomtom, Android and iPhone devices. You can’t utilise your own Sat nav during the Huddersfield driving examination.

Route-Led provides clients with a high degree of help and support to use our test-routes. You’ll get accustomed to all the different sections of the routes to be travelled during the test. We suggest using a knowledgeable driving teacher in addition. For extra information on how you can practise for your driving test please visit Driving Test Practice

In the course of the independent driving test, the examiner will provide the learner all the necessary directions. If the learner gets confused during the journey, they will be required to get confirmation on the directions from the test examiner. Students cannot utilise personal Sat-Nav devices for independent driving because they give turn-by-turn prompts. Independent driving will test the skill of the examinee to make independent choices.
