Key Heysham Areas
Here’s a few key areas in and around Heysham that we think are worth spending a little extra practise time on, as they feature regularly in many of the routes. Try to get confident driving these areas as they’ll likely appear during your test:
Oxcliffe Road & Mellishaw Lane:
Fast, open stretches linking Heysham with Morecambe and the bypass. Try to get confident with the varying speed limits, commercial entrances, and frequent merging traffic.Heysham Road:
A long urban road appearing in most routes, with side streets, zebra crossings, and a mixture of narrow and wider sections.Westgate & Regent Road:
Both busy arterial roads with several traffic lights, mini-roundabouts, and multiple lane positions you will need to negotiate while practising correct mirror technique.Sugham Lane & Local Estates:
Residential loops used frequently at the start and end of many routes, featuring junctions and parked cars. Manoeuvres often take place here so well worth familiarising yourself with them.Bypass / A683 Link:
The bypass roundabouts appear across a few different routes and will challenge your judgement, planning, and ability to maintain safe speeds when joining.
“Best driving test app out there! Helped me become more confident ready for my test.”
“Passed first time! Practicing the routes really helped!”
