- Turn left out of the Driving Test Centre, then at the end of the road turn right.
- On Florabank Road, take the third right.
- On Lydgait, turn right at the end of the road.
- On Aberlady Road, take the third left.
- On Davidson Terrace, turn right at the end.
- On Hospital Road, turn left at the end.
- At the roundabout on A199, take the third exit.
- Join the A1 and follow it to the Gladsmuir junction, then take the slip road to the roundabout and turn left.
- At the B6363 roundabout, turn left.
- At the end of the road, turn right onto the A199, then at the roundabout take the right exit.
- On West Road, turn right.
- On Park Lane / Clerkington Road, turn left at the end.
- Continue ahead on Pencaitland Road at the traffic lights.
- Turn left into Hope Park.
- Take the second left into Hopetoun Drive.
- Turn left at the end into Beechwood Road.
- At the end, continue ahead on Station Road through the lights.
- Bear left onto Court Street / High Street.
- Continue ahead at the lights onto Hardgate.
- Turn right into Dunbar Road.
- Turn right into Artillery Park.
- Turn left onto Riverside Drive.
- At the end, turn right onto Traprain Terrace.
- At the Dunbar Road roundabout, take the left exit.
- Turn left onto the A199.
- Turn right into Goatfield.
- Turn right into Gourlaybank.
- Turn right into Herdmanflatt.
- Return to the Driving Test Centre.

At the Dunbar Road roundabout, take the second exit.
