  • Station Road & Glasgow Road:

Prepare for typical residential driving with mini roundabouts and narrow turns. These are a great opportunity to demonstrate proper mirror checks and safe avoidance of parked cars.

  • Renton & Alexandria:
Quieter areas of the maps which are often used for manoeuvres such as reversing or parking. Watch for pedestrians at all times.

  • Whiteford Avenue & Garshake Road:
Classic urban roads with easy-to-navigate slopes and bends - perfect for demonstrating the basics such as clutch control, lane positioning, and hazard awareness.

Sat-Nav Driving Test

While conducting the independent driving test, the examiner will ask the learner driver to take directions from the Satnav. The examiner will bring a configured Tomtom Start 52 device. All you’ll have to do is to take directions from the device. The model or make of the Sat-nav that you’ll use in your learning sessions will not make a difference at all. As a leading Satnav company, we supply driving test-routes for iPhone, Garmin, Android and Tomtom devices. You cannot utilise your personal Sat-Nav device during the driving test.

Practise

As a service-oriented company, we supply our customers with additional help and support for our test-routes. Using Route-Led's test routes allows the users to practise the roads, junctions and corners that they will encounter during their driving examinations. To help the student in practising how to conduct a vehicle safely and also to pass the driving test, we highly recommend using a good driving teacher. How it works

Independent Driving Test

The Independent driving test doesn’t check your skill in following directions. Moreover, an independent driving test does not test your ability to remember directions. If you query the examiner for the directions, they should give them to you. Going off route won’t affect your test score in any way. Don’t fret about obscured road signs as the examiner will assist you should you require it. You should note that you can’t take your personal Sat-nav device with you to take the examination. This is due to the fact that your personal Sat-Nav device will be configured to provide detailed directions.
